The deadline for voting is December 15th and the winners will be announced on UrbanBridgez.com December 16thDecember 18th Due to Preparation for Our Legendary Honor to Jody Watley!

This year Hip-Hop recording artist Kendrick Lamar leads with a total of 9 nominations. Kendrick has had one great year, taking home BET & BET Hip-Hop Awards as well as a Soul Train Award among others. Now online fans have the opportunity to help Mr. Lamar continue his reign, as the biggest urban artist of 2013. Some of the nods Kendrick Lamar received were Best Rap Artist, Hottest Collaboration Single of The Year for “Poetic Justice” feat. Drake, two nods in the Best Hip-Hop Single of The Year category for “Bi*ch Don’t Kill My Vibe” & “Love Game” feat. Eminem, on top of being nominated for Artist of The Year.

Drake, Kelly Rowland and Robin Thicke all received 7 nominations. Some of their nods include Best R&B Female and Male Artist, Best Rap Artist, Best R&B Single of The Year for Kelly’s “Kisses Down Low.” Robin Thicke received a nomination for Best Mid/Up Tempo Single of The Year for “Blurred Lines” feat. T.I. and Pharrell while Drake got nods for Best Rap/Hip Hop Album of The Year for “Nothing Was The Same” and for Best Hip-Hop Single of The Year for “Started from The Bottom.” All three received nominations for Best Video of The Year (Started from The Bottom, Kisses Down Low, Blurred Lines) and Artist of The Year. Other artists with 5 or more nods, were Future who earned 6 nods while Miguel and Tamar Braxton both received 5 nominations.

This year UB Honors made a few changes, adding seven nominations to each category from the previous five and two new categories were added; Best Club/Dance Single of The Year and Mixtape of The Year. Over 80 recording artists received UB Honors this year.

Nominees were chosen from artists whose singles or albums were released between September 2012 to October 2013.
