After a solo stint on Virgin Records in the UK and then starting his own independent label, British singer-songwriter, rapper, beatboxer and record producer Jay Sean signed to Cash Money Records in 2009. His American debut single “Down” topped the Billboard Hot 100, making him the first solo artist of South Asian origin and first UK urban act to top the Hot 100.

It was the seventh-best selling song of 2009, having sold more than three million copies in the United States that year, eventually reaching four million sales in the US and six million sales worldwide. Jay Sean followed “Down” with another hit, “Do You Remember“, which has sold more than a million singles in the US alone. “Neon” is Jay Sean‘s fourth album and second with Cash Money Records. It features the first single “Where You Are” which went to radio mid-March. Jay recently released Rick Ross-assisted “Mars,” a more urban single than the pop influenced first single “Where You Are.” Neon includes features from Cash Money artists Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and more.

Jay recently allowed his fans via his Facebook to select the cover for his July 30th release of “Neon.” UrbanBridgez.com has your first look at the selected cover. Out of the 6 shots fans could choose from, the shot with the most votes is the one above.
