NEW ALBUM FROM D-BLOCK IS COMING

New York stand up! E1 Music is proud to announce the long-awaited release of No Security, the brand new album from Yonkers’ one and only, D-Block. No Security will be available in-stores and online on Tuesday, June 9th, 2009. Original Lox members Jadakiss, Sheek Louch and Styles P have re-joined forces after years of successful solo careers to release this new album. No Security features the entire D-Bock family and introduces the next generation of D-Block.

Collectively, solo projects from Jada, Sheek and Styles have sold over 3 million albums, not to mention their crucial involvement on countless mix-tapes and tours over the years. Jadakiss is still celebrating the success of his most recent release, The Last Kiss, which hit #3 on Billboard’s Top 200 this past April.

Sheek’s latest solo release, Silverback Gorilla (KOCH 2008) debuted at # 3 on Billboard’s Independent Chart, and after 3 successful solo albums, Styles still remains the ever-present gentleman/gangster since hitting the scene back in 2002 with his debut album whose sales soared over 700K. Each charismatic member has a distinctive style that stands on its own, but when combined, the result is music that is drenched in the past, perfect for today and looks to the future of hip-hop.

The Yonkers-based group was the backbone of Sean “Puffy” Combs’ Bad Boy label during its heyday, hired as writers in the mid ‘90s. The trio wrote and performed on Combs’ “I Got The Power,” and “It’s All About the Benjamins,” Mase’s “24 Hrs. to Live,” the Notorious B.I.G.’s “Last Day,” Mary J. Blige’s “Can’t Get You Off My Mind,” and many others. The Lox released their debut album, Money, Power & Respect in 1998—it reached #3 on the Billboard Top 200 Charts. To date, THE LOX has sold 1.7 million albums.

The new single and fresh sounding “Get That Paper” is in heavy rotation at Hot 97 and shows off how the group has developed over the years. This track has that great summer-time, chill in the shade vibe and features S.I. on the infectious hook. The video (a throwback look at the brownstone block parties from back in the day) was shot in Brooklyn last month. The video is hitting B.E.T., MTV and portals now.

No Security is also set to feature appearances from O.J. Da Juiceman, Webstar, Beanie Sigel and Red Café’
