The first trailer for the highly-anticipated Luther Vandross documentary “Luther: Never Too Much” has been revealed.
The documentary is a peek inside the life, of one of R&B‘s most enigmatic stars.
“Luther: Never Too Much” will have nationwide sneak previews through AMC theaters before the film opens in theaters throughout North America starting November 1st via Giant Pictures.
The documentary will then premiere on CNN, OWN, and streaming service MAX in 2025.
The film will include more than 40 years of archival footage of the Grammy-winning entertainer, along with new interviews from some of his musical peers, including Roberta Flack, Mariah Carey, Richard Marx, Dionne Warwick, and Jamie Foxx.
The film will feature Luther Vandross getting his start by crashing David Bowie’s Young Americans recording session and becoming an in-demand backup vocalist for artists like Aretha Franklin, Chic, and Barbara Streisand.
All leading to his breakout solo hit, 1981’s “Never Too Much,” beginning an illustrious career.
