UrbanBridgez.com: This is your first major role in a film and from watching ‘Runs House’ we know this is something you’ve wanted to do for awhile, how did this role come about for you?
Vanessa Simmons: This role came from my agent, I read for it and I landed the role.
UrbanBridgez.com: How was it working with the cast on the film, did any of the actors give you any advice that has helped you for other acting roles?
Vanessa Simmons: The most important advice that I’ve received thus far is to never quit. And I will not quit.
UrbanBridgez.com: Why should people go out and buy Speed-Dating (in stores now)?
Vanessa Simmons: People should buy this movie if you want to laugh out loud A LOT, and have a great time.
UrbanBridgez.com: You kinda got your Laila Ali on in one of the scenes in Speed-Dating, have you ever been in a real fist fight in your life and if so did you win?
Vanessa Simmons: I’ve never TECHNICALLY been in a fight.
UrbanBridgez.com: Any plans for anymore reality TV in your future?
Vanessa Simmons: As of now, we have no plans. But we never know what happens on a day to day. So we shall see!
UrbanBridgez.com: Diggy is really making a name for himself before his album even drops, did you ever picture your little brother as a Hip-Hop artist?
Vanessa Simmons: Well Diggy, from the moment he was born was superstar, so yes we knew he would have a successful career!
UrbanBridgez.com: What’s the best advice your dad has ever given you that sticks with you always?
Vanessa Simmons: My dads best advice to me is “do your best and forget the rest” it kind of takes the pressure off.
UrbanBridgez.com: We miss you on Twitter, will you be returning anytime soon?
Vanessa Simmons: As for Twitter…Maybe, u never know.
UrbanBridgez.com: What’s up-coming for Pastry this year?
Vanessa Simmons: We have Barbies, and a whole bunch of new sneakers.
UrbanBridgez.com: Outside of movies, what’s next for you?
Vanessa Simmons: Angela and I have started our own production company, Simmons 2, our non-for profit TIN , which stands for Tomorow is Now.

Good to hear Vanessa doing great things in her career. Run house is my show. I’m waiting for new episodes on Run House. Black folks doing speed dating ,I knew it going to be funny. Watching the trailer.
Speed dating made me laugh. Everybody is in this movie. He wearing a too cool on his name tag He a good actor too.
It’s about time! Hollywood is showing more black movies on DVD. I hope speed dating comes on cable soon.
