Jon Vinyl Drops the Melodic & Soulful ‘No Feelings’
The Song Samples Earth, Wind & Fire’s Classic “September.”
Fresh off his JUNO nomination; R&B singer/songwriter, Jon Vinyl is keeping R&B alive and well, with his new single “No Feelings” and with an accompanying music video.
Produced by Axthentic, The 25th Hr and Evan Miles, the new single features a sample from the legendary Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September”. “No Feelings” showcases untapped honesty as he cuts loose from a fading situationship. Directed by Jack Peros and produced by Smiley Boy Productions.
“Cause you’d rather go take that pic
Rather flex let loose talk shit
Your not meant for relationships
Lemme see if you can make that switch”
“I’m here to speak the words that a lot of people in relationships find hard to confront,” states Jon. “Growing up, my mom would tell me the things that bother you about your partner at the beginning of your relationship will most likely be the same reason(s) why you break up; and she was not wrong. With the release of “No Feelings,” the goal was to ensure a profound level of ruthless honesty was maintained, while taking my listeners on a personal journey through realization and heartbreak. I truly loved putting this piece together because it feels ferocious and liberating to cut the strings loose.”
“No Feelings” illuminates another side of Jon’s romantic life, where he embodies a newfound cutthroat energy. With its eloquent songcraft and Vinyl’s powerful delivery, the new single instantly captivates listeners as Vinyl claims his power back in this relationship. Vinyl bursts into a crystalline reality check with his current lover, taking their relationship down a steep turn for the worse.
Jon Vinyl is gearing up to drop a brand-new project this fall.
