Since 1971, Sounds of Blackness has taken audiences all over the world on a musical journey through the history of African-American music via tours, stage productions, music workshops, recordings, and concerts.

#URGONNAWINN is a return to the sound of “Optimistic,” Sounds of Blackness most enduring hit. The song is a modern day civil rights anthem and voice for the work of transformation and change.

People need to know, especially the young people, that their voices matter and that they are capable of greatness.”
