‘Harlem’ Season 2 Raises The Bar | Premieres Friday

Listen to this article

The first season of Tracy Oliver‘s “Harlem,” was one of the best series that has premiered in the last five years.

HarlemSeason 2 Premieres on Prime Video this Friday February 3rd.

The series stars Meagan Good as Camille, a popular young anthropology professor at Columbia who has an extensive knowledge of the dating norms of many cultures, but has a hard time navigating her own love life.

Tye (Jerrie Johnson) is a successful, queer dating-app creator who prefers keeping vulnerability—and romantic partners—at arm’s length. Quinn (Grace Byers) is a hopeless romantic and trust-fund fashion designer who is trying to give back to the world while running a struggling business. Angie (Shoniqua Shandai) is a confident, vibrant, and filter-free singer and actress who also lives rent-free and fabulously with Quinn.

Together, they level up from their 20s into the next phase of their careers, relationships, and big city dreams.

In the first season’s cliff-hanger, Camille and Ian, played by Tyler Lepley, kissed in the final moments. Leaving fans wondering will they rekindle what once was, or will Ian marry as planned?

This season picks up literally, where the finale left off. The ladies are ready to move forward and conquer what’s ahead, while trying not to repeat previous mistakes.

Whoopi Goldberg returns as Dr. Elise Pruitt, who this season, it even more of a riot than last. This season we see her, as more than just a colleague of Camille‘s.

Jasmine Guy expands her role this season as well, as Quinn‘s self-centered mother Patricia. The layers start to peel as their family dynamic is explored more.

Black Hollywood makes appearances this season on “Harlem,” with Couintess Vaugn being one of our favorites!

This season, as Camille, Tye, Quinn and Angie continue to come into their own. Signals are missed, intentions are revealed, art imitates reality and the cliff-hanger, is going to have viewers demanding an early Season 3!

This season definitely raises the bar from season one, which says a lot because it was superb!

HarlemSeason 2, is one of the best things you’ll watch this year!
