Brandy Returns with Salute to Mothers | ‘Baby Mama’ featuring Chance The Rapper

Brandy has dropped her brand new single “Baby Mama” via Brand Nu/eOne.

Her salute to all mothers, that features Chance The Rapper. The lead single from her forthcoming seventh studio album, due this summer.

Produced by Hit-Boy, the upbeat single was released today, Friday May 1st, 2020.

Brandy says, “My new single is about embracing the strength and fortitude needed not only in motherhood, but in life. I’m am thrilled that Chance joined me on this track, and I hope my fans find it as uplifting as I intended it to be!

Brandy sings on the hot track;

“It takes a village to raise ’em
We don’t do it all by ourselves
I know my smile can be upstagin’
On the stage, I provide like a daddy
And a mother, mother, I give my life
Put that on my life (I put that on everything)”

Following the single’s release, BET will premiere the official “Baby Mama” video on Monday, May 4 via, BET beginning at 12 noon ET. Directed by Derek Blanks (who did her album shoot), with creative director Frank Gatson, the video features a glowing and vibrant Brandy.

Last year Brandy celebrated a #1 Grammy nominated single, for “Love Again” with Daniel Caesar.

This will be Brandy‘s first album release on her own label Brand Nu, Inc.
