On Thursday, October 3rd, Shanola Hampton begins her second season as missing persons advocate Gabi Mosely in the hit series “Found” at 10 p.m ET.

Led by “Law & Order” and “Law & Order: SVU,” which begin their 24th and 26th seasons, respectively, at 8 and 9 p.m.

Now that Sir has escaped and is on the loose, her biggest secret is now Gabi‘s biggest threat.

Showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll, Shanola Hampton, Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Kelli Williams participated in the panel.

When I first met Nkechi Okoro Carroll, one of the things that I love about her is that she spoke my language of love. We see human first. I was afforded the opportunity to choose. I knew this was the woman I wanted to work with. She’s brilliant & leads with love,Shanola Hampton stated.

The heart of “Found” is there’s a disproportionate amount of people in this world who are considered disposable, stated Nkechi Okoro Carroll.

We deal with mortality rate of Black mothers, we deal with neurodiverse kids, we deal with how grief, especially in the Black community, can be misconstrued & all of it’s pulled from personal experiences.”

Much like season one, season two will have cases of the week, along with the serialized story. Nkechi Okoro Carroll stated; “Sir may be out there, but Gabi will still be solving cases. It has been so much fun to see that side of the character when it’s not anchored by Gabi.

Shanola Hampton stated that she misses doing the frequent one-to-one scenes she had with Sir, now that his character is free.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar promised loyal fans of the series, that there is going to be a payoff for those who’ve put the time in on “Found.”

I hope I’m on this until we’re in the SVU world (26 seasons),Mark-Paul Gosselaar jokingly said.

That may not be an unreachable goal, as the series is that exceptional. Nkechi Okoro Carroll said she originally had a five-season plan for the series, she needed to plan that far ahead to start planting the seeds in the story.

Sir‘s motivations in season two is Gabi, “Sir’s endgame is Gabi, period,” stated Nkechi Okoro Carroll. Mark-Paul Gosselaar added “any sort of connection I can have with Gabi, that’s enough for Sir.”

Veteran actress Kelli Williams, will also direct in season two.
