‘Finding Happy’ Reaches 2.6 Million Viewers In Series Premiere

The series premiere episodes of the newest Bounce original series, “Finding Happy,” were seen by 2.6 million viewers 2+ in their debut telecasts.

The first two episodes of “Finding Happy” premiered back-to-back on Bounce on Saturday, September 24th, at 8/9 p.m. ET, and their initial airing burst within 24 hours, including a special presentation on Bounce‘s sister network ION on Sunday night.

Centering around the Black female experience through the eyes of protagonist Yaz Carter, “Finding Happy” is a dramedy about the unfulfilled life of Yaz, beginning with her unhappy 36th birthday.

The 10-episode debut season features Yaz‘s loving-but-complicated family, her stagnant career in the evolving landscape of radio, and a merry-go-round of unrequited love while dating in the love desert of Atlanta.

B. Simone stars as Yaz along with Kim Coles, Marketta Patrice, Angela Gibbs, Stevie Baggs Jr and Mike Merrill. Kendra Jo serves as the showrunner/writer and co-creator along with Yasmine Coleman and Angela Wells. Eric C. Rhone, Cedric the Entertainer, Yasmine Coleman, Angela Wells, Kendra Jo, and Reesha L. Archibald are the show’s executive producers.

Finding Happy” comes from Rhone and Cedric The Entertainer’s A Bird & A Bear Entertainment, which also produces the hit Bounce original series “Johnson.”

On Tonight‘s episode; Yaz puts together her audition tape to submit for D-1 Media‘s new show The Brunch Crew, but distractions get the best of her. Trying to move on from boyfriend Shawn, a trainer, Yaz tries out a new gym.

Porter introduces a new show and its new hosts to D-1. Jamila meets her boyfriend Dexter‘s new hire, the dangerously cute Brandi, and a client causes trouble for Jamila on the verge of her grand opening.

Bounce premieres new episodes of “Finding HappySaturday nights at 8 p.m. ET, with a primetime play for the West Coast at 8 p.m. PT. They are added to Bounce‘s streaming service Brown Sugar on Monday mornings.
