Antonio Driver Talks Tonight’s ‘I AM AWARDS’ | Hosted by Vivica A. Fox

It’s “I AMAwards weekend in Washington D.C., featuring a black-tie Fundraising Gala and Awards Program that celebrates the accomplishments of Black LGBTQ people who have significantly contributed to enhancing the quality of life of the minority LGBTQ community and who have demonstrated a commitment to social change.

The Inaugural LGBTQ+ Celebration, “I AM AWARDS,” are Tonight in Washington, D.C., presented by Speak Out Inc.

This coveted event will be hosted by legendary actress, Vivica A. Fox and Los Angeles-based aspiring actor, J’Lamar along with other stellar performances and entertainment.

Organizationally, SpeakOut Inc. by nature seeks to curate a stellar weekend steeped in its mission to connect, empower, educate, and celebrate the quintessential spirit of black queer excellence.

Speak Out Inc., founder, Antonio Driver started his journey with helping the black LGBTQ community find, build, and keep healthy relationships over five years ago.

Antonio has been selected by Facebook to serve as one of their Nation Global Ambassadors to help fight social justice around the world and to support underserved communities. In 2021 Mr. Driver was appointed by Maryland’s Governor Larry Hogan as a commissioner on the LGBTQ State Affairs.

Speak Out is a nonprofit community engagement organization representing more than 6,000 same-gender-loving (SGL) men and women of color. Since 2017, Speak Out has served as a safe space for creating meaningful connections across the LGBTQIA+ community. This mission of Speak Out is to educate, support, and connect the LGBTQIA+ community of color through social media engagement, mentorship, personal empowerment and health awareness.

Aries from UB, spoke with Antonio Driver about the Inaugural LGBTQ+ Celebration and “I AM AWARDS.Antonio also speaks on why he asked Vivica A. Fox to host and Speak Out Inc.

Antonio also gives advice for a healthy relationship and shares what he would you like to see more of, when it comes to the inclusion of the LGBTQ community.
