2020 was an exciting year for UB with our 15 Year Anniversary, and it was without a doubt our most successful year! We’ll be officially celebrating our anniversary this Spring, so stay tuned!
Like every year we counted down our Top 10 Moments for us. With this year being one of the best, it was hard to narrow down the list.

UB covered the event for another year and had a pleasant surprise, on how well it was put together during quarantine. We covered the virtual red carpet and conducted interviews with the Clark Sisters, John P. Kee, Jacquees and BET‘s Amplified artists Lonr.

We celebrate the late MC Trouble’s 50th Birthday with her former label-mates; The Boys and The Good Girls.
1. 10 R&B Songs of Encouragement & Uplifting
For Black History Month, we wanted to spotlight some R&B uplifting songs of encouragement. So the team put together a list, we felt was some of the best from the last three decades. Jimmy Jam shared the post, which boosted its views the first day it was posted, February 29th.
Since then, the post has been the only one to remain in our top 10 most viewed daily since its creation. A large part of that is due to people wanting to hear positive and encouraging music. So with that, Google placed the post as a feature whenever anyone searches “encouraging R&B.” Where it comes up in an ad-type way when on desktop. Due to the hits the search would bring to the post.
So a feature that we did in-house, based on our love for R&B, being the most popular post of the year makes us proud! Thank you, the best is yet to come!
