UB Spotlight: Will Packer + The Hosts Talk ’94th Oscars’

The 94th Oscars will be held on, Sunday March 27th 2022 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland in Hollywood and will be televised live on ABC at 8 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. PDT.

Emmy-nominated producer Will Packer will produce the 94th Oscars. Shayla Cowan, chief of staff of Will Packer Productions and Will Packer Media, will serve as co-producer alongside.

Regina Hall, Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes will host the Oscars jointly.

Presenters this year include; Halle Bailey, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Jamie Lee Curtis, Woody Harrelson, Samuel L. Jackson, Shawn Mendes, Tyler Perry, Tracee Ellis Ross, Stephanie Beatriz, DJ Khaled, Jennifer Garner, H.E.R., Tiffany Haddish, Tony Hawk and Bill Murray.

As well as Kevin Costner, Anthony Hopkins, Lily James, Daniel Kaluuya, Zoë Kravitz, Mila Kunis, Lady Gaga, John Leguizamo, Simu Liu, Rami Malek, Lupita Nyong’o, Rosie Perez, Chris Rock, Naomi Scott, Wesley Snipes, Uma Thurman, John Travolta, Jill Scott, J.K. Simmons, Serena Williams, Venus Williams and Yuh-Jung Youn.

Beyoncé, Billie Eilish and FINNEAS, Reba McEntire and Sebastián Yatra will perform this year’s nominated songs.

Taking the Oscars stage will be an all-star band featuring the show’s music director Adam Blackstone, Travis Barker, percussionist and singer Sheila E., and genre-spanning pianist Robert Glasper.

DJ D-Nice, will perform during the show as well as at the Governors Ball, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ official post-Oscars celebration.

The Samples, the vocal group led by Jason White, also will appear in the show.

Rounding out this musical lineup in the telecast will be the return of a live orchestra, joined this year by D-Nice and the all-star band.

The producers will continue to announce musical guests and performances in the lead-up to the show.
