UB Honors 2021: H.E.R. Leads with 11 Nominations + Voting Begins

Online urban music fans will be able to start voting Today (vote below) until next Wednesday December 29th and the winners will be announced New Years Eve December 31st!

This years nominations were led by H.E.R. who garnered a record-breaking eleven nominations, including Artist of The Year, Best R&B Female Artist and Ballad of The Year for “Damage.”

Jazmine Sullivan and Lucky Daye both received six nods including Best R&B Single of The Year for Jazmine‘s “Pick Up Your Feelings,” and Lucky Daye is nominated for Hottest Collaboration Single of The Year with Earth, Wind & Fire for “You Want My Love.” Both artists are nominated for Artist of The Year.

Stokley has been putting out great music for over a year, leading up to his latest release “Sankofa.” He receives four nominations this year, including Best Male Artist and Best R&B Album of The Year for “Sankofa.” Silk Sonic also received four nods this year.

Others nominated include; Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Sevyn Streeter, The Shindellas, Yung Bleu, Chlöe, Charlie Wilson, BIA, Lyfe and more.

Nominees were chosen from artists whose singles or albums were released between September 2020 to October 2021.
