“Rock Steady” was released in June of 1987. The song was written and produced by L.A. Reid and Babyface.
Babyface prepares to go back into his vault and release the demo version of his classic songs.
The original Whispers version reached the #1 spot on the Billboard R&B charts and top 10 of the Hot 100.
At the time Solar had already started touting Babyface and L.A Reid, as the next Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. After they started racking up a steady list of hits, that included Pebbles debut single “Girlfriend” and The Deele‘s “Two Occasions.”
