‘The Chi’ Returns Tonight + ‘The Chi With Love Concert’ Experience
We’re all excited for the Season Premiere of “The Chi,” tonight at 9/8c on SHOWTIME.
A wedding alters Kevin and Kiesha‘s lives. Emmett juggles his business and his growing family. Ronnie struggles to find his way. Jake‘s estranged brother Trig played by Luke James who lands back in town on a mission.

Created and executive produced by Lena Waithe and executive produced by Academy Award®, Emmy and Golden Globe® winner Common, The Chi is a timely coming-of-age story centering on a group of residents who become linked by coincidence, but bonded by the need for connection and redemption.
Guest stars include two-time Grammy® nominee Luke James (Star, Little) as Victor “Trig” Taylor, Jake’s (Michael V. Epps) estranged older brother who wants to reunite his fractured family, but takes an unconventional approach. Alani “La La” Anthony will play Dominique “Dom” Morris, a savvy businesswoman with dreams of more lucrative opportunities. Lil Rel Howery (Get Out, Bird Box) will play Zeke Remnick, the owner of Sonny’s (guest star Cedric Young) building who cares less about the community than the bottom line, and Kandi Burruss (The Real Housewives of Atlanta) as Roselyn Perry, the estranged wife of Douda (guest star Curtiss Cook), back at his side to influence his political agenda and to help herself.
The Chi With Love concert experience features an appearance by Lena Waithe and a headlining performance by Oscar® and Grammy® Award winner Common, along with THE CHI star Jacob Latimore and Chicago favorites Twista, Ravyn Lenae, Jamila Woods, BJ The Chicago Kid, and MFnMelo.
The concert is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the Equal Justice Initiative. A $500,000 donation was made by SHOWTIME and ViacomCBS on behalf of the drama series The Chi. The Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) is committed to changing the narrative about race in America, and works with communities that have been marginalized by poverty and discouraged by unequal treatment. The organization is also dedicated to reforming policing in America, improving public safety by building trust with communities and changing police culture.
