Kevin Michael Returns With The Sensual ‘Down’

Earlier this summer Kevin Michael released the teaser single “Sidenixxa.” An ode to, Faith Evans of sorts. He’s prepping for his new release the “Quiet Cool” EP, coming this fall.

Now he’s released the new sensual single “Down,” with a sensual cover to go with it.

“When I’m loving you
And you’re loving me
When we’re body to body
Underneath the sheets
I’m gon lay it down?
Is you gon lay it down?”

Kevin says of the new release; “I’m into free love. I’m into just sort of, figuring it out. Fluidity. This is the most personal I’ve ever been on a body of work.”

Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, the child of a black father and an Italian mother, Kevin grew up in a house filled with music. His father, a music fanatic, was known in his hood as “Rick Prince” due to his love of Rick James and Prince.

Kevin released his debut self-titled album on Atlantic in 2007, featuring the single “It Don’t Make Any Difference to Me” feat. Wyclef Jean.

Kevin Michael has since released four independent releases, this will be the first release since 2013‘s “b r a i n w a $ h.”
