UB First Look: Elle Varner’s ‘Ellevation’ Artwork + Tracklist
Grammy® winning, singer-songwriter Elle Varner is also a multi-instrumentalist of Cape Verdean, Swedish and African American descent. Raised in Los Angeles, Varner spent all of her childhood surrounded by music having parents that were both singers/songwriters.
Elle Varner is gearing up to release her new album release “Ellevation” on June 14th.
UPDATE: Moved to July 12th!
UB has your First Look at the cover + tracklist.
Having worked with the likes of Da Internz, Pop & Oak, DJ Camper, Nineteen85, and many more, Elle will continue to forge new creative pathways on this new highly anticipated project.
Elle Varner recently talked to Hype Hair about the new album.
Ellevation really [connects to] how I’ve seen a lot of people in that mode lately. There’s a lot of darkness in the world right now that we feel and experience, so being able to bring some light through music is really important for me. So there’s a lot of positive frequencies and vibrations in this new music.
By the age of 13, Varner was playing the guitar, writing and recording her own music. She attended Amazing Grace Conservatory, a private performing art school for youth of color, and was a member of Hamilton Music Academy’s esteemed Vocal Jazz Choir. Later, she studied at NYU’s Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music.
Elle won her first Grammy last year for her work with Chance the Rapper on his hit album Coloring Book.
