Sir the Baptist Debut Album feat. Brandy, Keke Wyatt & More – Available May 12th

On May 12th, the self-proclaimed Hip Hop Chaplain, Sir the Baptist will return with an incredible new sound and the million dollar question – Are you a Saint or a Sinner?

The 14-track body of work comes after the success of his breakout single “Raise Hell” – which received national attention from the likes of CNN, Billboard, VIBE, NPR, BET, Jay Z and more! After months of sleepless nights in the studio assembling this masterpiece, the Chicago native is ready to continue his trailblazing cause of “Healing Hip Hop.”

Saint or Sinner, written & produced mainly by Sir himself, is the perfect soundtrack for the everyday person with amazing features including Brandy, Michelle Williams, Keke Wyatt and more!

The project addresses powerful issues in a realistic and sensible way that reflects the modern American’s belief system and lifestyle. Sir’s debut project blends spirituality and the streets, creating a soundtrack for life! It highlights the good and the bad. Not all saint. Not all sinner.

Sir will celebrate the release of Saint or Sinner with his 1st World Tour. The Revival World Tour will be coming to a city near you hitting cities like New York, Paris, Los Angeles, Chicago, London, New Orleans, Nashville, Austin & more.

I’m so thankful for the amazing opportunities that I’ve had in my career so far, but this is the moment to really show people who I am as an artist and as a man. This project is a reflection of the journey, from the best times in my life to the struggles that make-or-break you and everything in-between.”

Born Sir William James Stokes in Chicago’s historic Bronzeville neighborhood, Sir The Baptist took his love of music and inspiration from his preacher/social activist father and created a sound all his own, an individualistic amalgam of soul, hip hop, R&B, jazz, doo-wop, pop, and gospel he calls “church pub rap.” Sir captured a national audience first via his contribution to Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment’s “Familiar” (featured on 2015’s acclaimed “SURF”) and then through his own extraordinary releases including such tracks as “Wake Up (Ft, ChuchPeople),” hailed by VIBE as “a bold statement for social justice in America.”

Tracks like “Creflo ‘Almighty’ Dollar (Ft. Twista & ChuchPeople)” and “Raise Hell (Ft. ChuchPeople)” followed and fast proved a sensation, the latter hitting #1 on Spotify’s Viral 50 on its way to 2 million plays and counting. In addition, LA Weekly declared the “Raise Hell” companion video to be “a visual blitz on America’s racially divided state, cutting between imagery of Sir singing in a church setting and protests that have taken place across the country in response to police killings of black men. The song is a call for social change not just for black people but for all minorities.” “Raise Hell” and much more can be found now at Sir The Baptist’s official Spotify channel.
