New Music: Antonique Smith Drops Debut Single “Hold Up Wait A Minute (Woo Woo)”

Hold up, wait a [insert expletive here] minute! Acclaimed actress turned recording artist Antonique Smith is literally singing circles around every artist in the game on her debut single “Hold Up Wait A Minute (Woo Woo)”. With production by Darryl “Darulah” Farmer and Elijah Kelley (The Butler), Ms. Smith cooks up an earth shattering pot of soul gumbo pulling ingredients from Funk, Jazz and Gospel. Known for her widely praised roles as Faith Evans in Notorious and Mimi in Broadway’s Rent, this climatic anthem is all Antonique.

“’Hold Up Wait A Minute’ is a liberation song”, explains Smith. “It’s time to take the power back for all the injustices in our lives and I made this record to do just that!” Industry heavyweights Nas, Rick Ross and Idris Elba already cosigned the Jersey born songstress and her forthcoming debut album features production from Toby Gad, Danja, Jukebox and Dr. Dre.
