Film: “Baggage Claim”
Studio: 20th Century Fox
Release Date: Friday September 27th!

Baggage Claim” was a very predictable, kinda bland, generic type of rom-com with more emphasis on the sorta slapstick comedy than romance. Musical cues would sometimes be overbearing, montages (to skip the time) felt forced, and really…the use of slo-mo during a sex scene with an emphasis on the abs of Boris Kodjoe?

Acting-wise, everyone ranged from too short to notice (Terrence J, Boris Kodjoe, Djimon Hounsou, Tia Mowry) to average (Trey Songz, Christina Milian) to so-so (Taye Diggs, Paula Patton) to good (Lauren London, Jenifer Lewis) to amazing (Jill Scott, Adam Brody).

If they made a spin-off out of Gale (Jill Scott) and Sam (Adam Brody)‘s characters, that would be the funniest and hilarious film ever!

Overall, while I love the cast and the novel that the film was based on, I’d say this was strictly a rental at best.
