Jonn Hart doesn’t want to be “Alone” on Valentine’s Day. Check out this brand new track from his upcoming mixtape “Heart 2 Hart“, stay tuned for more!
Burgeoning Oakland, California singer/songwriter Jonn Hart is quickly making a name for himself as his debut single “Who Booty,” is taking the nation on by storm as the #1 rhythmic mainstream record on the radio chart. Not only is “Who Booty” a favorite on the airwaves, the infectious single continues to move up the charts landing in the Top 5 on both the iTunes R&B and Billboard Heatseekers charts. The emerging Epic Records singer/songwriter shows his ability to mix signature sounds of the Bay Area with his silky smooth R&B vocals, introducing a new fresh sound he calls “R&Bay Slap”. Hart explains, “I’m taking a hard-hitting 808 beat, putting a melody on top and then singing melodically on top of that. Yet a rapper can still rap to one of my beats. It’s modern R&B for a younger demo.”
In conjunction with his debut smash at radio, the music video quickly garnered over one million views on VEVO, extending its reach and catching the attention of Bad Boy rapper, French Montana for the remix and music video as well. Buoyed by a smooth, bumping groove underscored by Hart’s seductive, pillow-talk vocals paired with Montana’s braggadocios verse, MTV Jams quickly added the remix video into rotation. Since then, Bay Area legend E-40 linked up with Hart to add his uncanny wordplay and rhymes to the Rawsmoov produced track.
Hart may be new to the charts, but steady long stretches of touring through his home state of California has built a strong fan base. The young Bay Area R&B/Hip-Hop singer/songwriter recording artist is also a budding entrepreneur who co-founded the entertainment company, Cool Kid Cartel, with his management team, Heroic Entertainment. Here, Hart plans to run a full-fledged label, production and publishing powerhouse for a roster of artists under his imprint.
“Who Booty” is just a taste of what’s to come from his debut project as Jonn continues to forge his own lane on the modern R&B highway. With a solid debut single like “Who Booty,” it’s easy to hear why Hart is one of the bright lights in the West Coast’s growing era of new melodic music.
