Johnny Gill Set to Release New Album ‘Game Changer II’
Like a blockbuster Hollywood movie that leaves fans clamoring for more, UB has learned that Johnny Gill is set to deliver his eighth solo studio album entitled “Game Changer II.” Which serves as the sequel to the highly successful 2014 “Game Changer” release.
The new album will be released on September 6th, 2019 via Kavalry Records.
The first single from “Game Changer II” was Johnny setting things off with a solid traditional R&B message track “Soul of A Woman.” The poignant song opens a rare window into Johnny’s personal life as it was primarily inspired by his mother, Annie Mae.
The single premiered as a UB First Listen in February. Last month, the single went #1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Songs airplay chart. “This One’s For Me and You,” featuring New Edition, was his last #1 on the chart in 2016.
