The UB Interview: ‘Double Cross’ Twins Jeff Logan & Ashley A. Williams Talk New Season
Season three of the ALLBLK Original Drama “Double Cross,” Premiered last Thursday February 3rd. With new episodes every Thursday.
Double Cross follows, the “Wonder Twins,” who decide to take matters into their own hands after a sudden rise of sex trafficking in their neighborhood. Haunted by their past, the twins set down a path of their unique brand of vigilante justice.
Last season finally revealed who had been behind the sex-trafficking ring that wreaked havoc on “The Heights” neighborhood.
This season will explore the new dynamic developed between Eric played by Jeff Logan and Erica Cross played by Ashley A. Williams, and their long-lost sister, Robin Cross (Judi Johnson).
The vigilante twins are teaming up with the very person who has been trying to put them in jail for murder. Detective Ryan (Darrin Dewitt Henson) finds himself seeking the help of the twins to find his missing daughter, Layla, who was taken by the twins’ own sister, Robin Cross.
The task becomes an undertaking after it is discovered that Layla was in fact taken from Robin and given to higher ups in the trafficking ring. Time is of the essence, as they only have days before Layla is auctioned off.
As the season unfolds, new characters enter the mix, and everyone must band together to find Layla. Infiltrating the Masquerade Auction is their one and only chance in rescuing her. Will they be able to put aside their differences, and drama for the greater good? Or will Layla be lost forever?
Returning cast members this season include Tremayne Norris and Faith Malonte, joined by new additions Jasmine Brown, Redaric Williams and Cameo Sherrell.
The new season also features special guest appearances by rapper Yo-Yo, comedian Michael Colyar, and actor Marcus T. Paulk.
Aries from UB caught up with the stars of “Double Cross,” Ashley A. Williams and Jeff Logan. They tell us about the new season and some things we can expect. Jeff also shares what attracted him to the role of Eric Cross, while Ashley speaks about her shock at times when reading the scripts.
The pair also speak on challenging moments for them this season and give us a back story on the “Wonder Twins.”
Jeff shares his experience working with Cardi B. for her “Press” video and Ashley shares with us when she discovered her love for acting.
