Q Parker of 112 Returns with Solo Single “Show You How” from Upcoming Solo Album

Independent music powerhouse, Malaco Records, proudly announces the addition of Grammy Award winning singer & songwriter and multi-platinum recording artist Q Parker, to their growing roster. The six-time ASCAP Award winner has formed a partnership between his production/artist development company, NeWFAM Entertainment, and Malaco Records, for the release of his upcoming solo debut titled, ‘The MANual,’ slated for release in Spring/Summer 2012.

Q Parker is preparing for a strong return to the marketplace with his first single, “Show You How,” produced by Kendrick Dean (Mary J. Blige; Trey Songz; Monica; Joe; Usher; Mariah Carey and Chris Brown) and written/co-produced by JQue Smith (Beyonce, Usher, Anthony Hamilton, Omarion).

Immediately attaining a strong buzz, “Show You How” was recently one of the most added songs at Urban AC radio. The melodic single is also gaining great support at syndicated and satellite outlets including Music Choice and Sirius/XM. This uptempo track also made a considerable entry onto the radio and sales charts with a solid debut at #88 on the Top 200 R&B/Soul chart on iTunes, as well as Top 30 placement on radio’s Mediabase and R&R charts. In addition to being available on iTunes, “Show You How” can also be purchased at Amazon.com and via other online retail outlets.

“We are excited about the NeWFAM partnership and Q Parker’s upcoming release. He is an incredible recording artist and songwriter with a successful track record, going back to the 112 projects. We’re looking forward to a productive and chart-topping outcome with his debut solo CD,” said Tommy Couch Jr., Vice President of Malaco Records.

“Q Parker is a gifted vocalist and accomplished songwriter whose career I’ve been involved with since the 90’s when his group 112 was signed to Bad Boy/Arista,” noted Lionel Ridenour, director of Malaco Records’ urban division. “I am very excited about the great partnership that we’ve formed between Q’s NeWFAM Entertainment brand and Malaco Records,” Ridenour added.

“It’s an amazing feeling to have been in the music business since I was a teenager as part of a hugely successful group like 112, and to now be a grown man making a name for myself as a solo artist in the current R&B climate,” remarked Q Parker. “Agreeing to a partnership with my NeWFAM Entertainment brand and Malaco Records felt right for me. Lionel Ridenour and Tommy Couch, Jr. of Malaco appreciate the direction of my music, and have shown they are committed to making my album ‘THE MANual’ a long-term success!” Parker added.
