Monica and Brandy Reunite for “It All Belongs To Me”

Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winners Monica and Brandy have teamed up in the studio once again to recreate history with their brand new single, “It All Belongs To Me,” set for release on February 6th on RCA Records. Written and produced by Rico Love (Usher, Beyonce, Chris Brown), the poignant song reunites these young powerhouse vocalists for the first time since their massive smash single, “The Boy Is Mine.”

Monica and Brandy both tweeted news of their collaboration from the studio in Miami kicking off an avalanche of excitement in the blogosphere.

It’s been 14 years since the then-teenage duo released their monumental collaboration, “The Boy is Mine,” which held the #1 spot on the Hot 100 Chart for 13 weeks, won the Grammy for R&B Performance by A Duo or Group, and was declared the best-selling song of 1998.

It All Belongs to Me” will appear on Monica’s New Life album scheduled for release on March 6th (RCA) and a second version of the song will appear on Brandy’s yet-to-be-titled RCA/Chameleon debut to be released this Spring.

Monica is a 25 million plus selling singer, songwriter, actress and entrepreneur. She entered the music scene at the tender age of 14 and quickly established a track record of history making accomplishments. Monica became the youngest female ever to have two #1 back-to-back hits with “Don’t Take it Personal (Just One of Dem Days)” and “Before You Walk Out of My Life” on Billboard’s R&B chart her from 1995 debut album Miss Thang.  Her 1998 album, The Boy is Mine garnered pop success when paired with Brandy on the album’s title track that spent a record breaking 13 weeks at #1 on the charts and earned the duo a Grammy Award.
