Monica Gears Up for The Release of “New Life” on November 29th

One of UrbanBridgez.com‘s favorites, Multi-Platinum, Grammy Award winning recording artist Monica is set to release her new album “New Life” on November 29th! The new album will be available in standard and deluxe editions. Confirmed producers who worked on “New Life” include Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Cox, Pop & Oak, Salaam Remi, Polow Da Don, Lamb and Missy Elliott, who produced several tracks on the album including the Jazmine Sullivan penned singles “Anything (To Find You)” Feat. Rick Ross and “Until It’s Gone”. Monica recently shot the video to “Until It’s Gone” and it’s expected to surface towards the end of October.

After the successes of last year’s Still Standing and her BET reality show of the same name, The First Lady of Atlanta has continued on a whirlwind path this year that saw her contributing her talents as a guest mentor alongside Cee Lo Green on NBC’s breakout reality music competition series The Voice, all the while completing work on her own new album.

Monica’s last four albums (Still Standing, The Makings Of Me, After The Storm, The Boy Is Mine) have all debuted at #1 and/or #2 on either the Top 200 or Top R&B/Hip Hop album charts. The lead single from Still Standing, “Everything to Me” spent 7 weeks at #1 the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop songs charts and became Monica’s sixth #1 single. Still Standing’s second single “Love All Over Me” reached #2 on the R&B/Hip Hop songs chart (Monica’s 12th Top Ten hit) and went on to spend 37 weeks on the chart. Both singles (“Love All Over Me” and “Everything to Me”) became #1 smashes at Urban Adult radio and also achieved the #2 spot at Urban Mainstream.

The #1 success of “Everything to Me” also places Monica within an elite group of history making superstars that have garnered #1 R&B singles in three decades — Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, James Brown and Marvin Gaye. Monica reached #1 on the R&B charts in the 90’s with her hit singles “Don’t Take It Personal (Just One of Dem Days)”, “Before You Walk Out Of My Life” and “The Boy Is Mine”. In the 2000’s, Monica claimed the #1 spot with “So Gone” from her 2003 platinum selling album After The Storm.

With the release of “New Life” we expect even more hits from Monica in the near future!
