TV: Bobby Brown to Appear on The View, Wendy & More

Grammy Award-Winning Recording Artist, Actor and Reality Television Star, BOBBY BROWN is set to launch his first solo album, THE MASTERPIECE (BB Productions/Bronx Bridge Entertainment, Inc.) in 15 years, this spring. Brown will perform his new single, “Get Out The Way” for the first time on network television, Monday, March 7th as the Musical Guest for ABC-TV’s THE VIEW.

Bobby Brown, who is one of the biggest R&B stars in the business, came on the scene in the late 80’s with his schoolmates, Michael Bivins, Ralph Tresvant, Ronnie DeVoe and Ricky Bell, to form New Edition. He left the group and released his debut solo album King of Stage in 1987 that produced the hit “Girlfriend”. His follow-up album Don’t Be Cruel, sold over 7 million copies and had 5 top ten hits as well as garnered him a Grammy Award for Best Rhythm and Blues Vocal Performance, Male in 1989. Brown and contributed to Ja Rule’s single, “Thug Lovin” in 2002 which won Brown a Source Award for R&B/Rap Collaboration of the Year for 2003.

Brown, these days recognized as a “Bad Boy Gone Good” is ready to return to take his rightful place among today’s R&B artists with his upcoming new CD, THE MASTERPIECE, to be released May 2011. Brown is also working on a reality television show in which he will appear with his fiancée Alicia Etheredge. This will follow- up on his appearances in “Gone Country,” “Celebrity Fit Club” and “Being Bobby Brown”. Brown recently suffered the loss of his beloved mother, Carole Brown; an event in his life that he says is “life-changing.”

It is a sad time for me right now. I am experiencing a tremendous loss but I vow to celebrate her life in every way that I can with my entire family, including my fiancé, Alicia, and my children, Landon, Bobbi Kristina, LaPrincia, Bobby Jr. and Cassius.” says BROWN.

The always exciting entertainer is also booked for concert performances around the country with fellow R & B Icons, Ralph Tresvant and Johnny Gill, billed as HEADS OF STATE, as well as other promo appearances on national television such as THE WENDY WILLIAMS SHOW (March 22nd), to promote his new single “Get Out the Way”. Brown will also visit radio stations in every market while he is on the road to promote my new single.

“I look forward to putting out the new CD” said Brown “and having fun with the Television performances. The View has been one of my all-time my favorite Morning Shows. I watch Whoopi, Sherrie, Elizabeth, Joy and Barbara every chance that I get, when I ‘m not on the road. So this is a dream come true for me.”
