MTV First: Lil Wayne’s First Post-Prision Interview & Premiere of New Vide

On Thursday February 10th at 8pm ET, MTV and MTV.com will air “MTV First: Lil Wayne,” which features Lil Wayne’s first live interview following his release from prison and the worldwide premiere of his new music video “6 Foot 7 Foot.” Viewers will be taken behind-the-scenes of the Hype Williams directed music video with footage from the set and a no-holds-barred discussion with MTV News’ Sway Calloway on life after prison. But it doesn’t stop there.

Fans will be able to submit their questions in advance or live during the show via MTV.com, Facebook or Twitter utilizing @MTVNews and hash-tag #askweezy. At 8:30pm ET, MTV.com will offer viewers an additional 20 minutes with Lil Wayne to continue answering fan questions. Immediately following the live interview, Lil Wayne’s new music video, the full interview from the set of “6 Foot 7 Foot” and “MTV First: Lil Wayne” will be made available on demand at MTV.com.

Filmed at a top secret location in Miami, the “6 Foot 7 Foot” music video was directed by Hype Williams. “6 Foot 7 Foot” which features Young Money’s Cory Gunz, the young and talented hip hop artist and star of the upcoming MTV docu-series premiering this April, “Son of a Gun,” is the first single off of Wayne’s upcoming album, “Tha Carter IV”. Weezy enlisted Young Money superstars, Drake and Nicki Minaj, as collaborators alongside producers such as Detal and Swizz Beats for the album. “Tha Carter IV” is set to release this Spring.

With well over ten million in sales, unquestionable street credibility, critical acclaim, industry accolades, eight Grammy nominations, and four Grammy wins for his multi-platinum selling album “The Carter III,” Cash Money/Universal Motown recording artist Lil Wayne has firmly laid to rest all doubt that he is anything less than the best.
