Songbook Entertainment and Atlantic Records have announced today’s release of “PASSION, PAIN & PLEASURE,” the hugely anticipated new album from Trey Songz. The album — which includes the hit singles, “Bottoms Up (Feat. Nicki Minaj)” and “Can’t Be Friends” — is now available in stores and at all online digital retailers.

“PASSION, PAIN & PLEASURE” sees the Virginia-based R&B superstar energized and evolving as he continues to refine his mastery of sultry, soulful songcraft. Songz enlisted a company of gifted producers to accompany him on his artistic journey, including Bei Maejor, Tha Bizness, Mario Winans, Mark Jackson, Kane Beatz and, of course, his longtime production partner, Songbook Entertainment founder Troy Taylor. As ever, Trey displays effortless vocal dexterity while simultaneously relaying complex emotional depth and power.

“This is the album where I talk to the people who think all I can sing about is sex,” says Songz. “I take a step further out of that realm, although I do keep one foot in.”

Today also marks the launch of the “Trey’s Angels Fan Club,” the official destination for all things Trey. Fans will become part of a unique community with exclusive access to news, tour updates, limited edition merchandise, and much, much more. For full details, please see www.TreysAngels.com.

Songz is currently wrapping up his blockbuster “Passion, Pain & Pleasure Tour.” The coast-to-coast trek — also starring J Records recording artist Monica — has played to sold-out houses across the country since early August and will culminate in a long awaited two-night-stand at New York City’s Beacon Theatre, set for Thursday, September 16th and Friday, September 17th. Next up will be a massive North American tour alongside Usher, slated to hit the road this November — for up-to-the-minute details and on-sale information, please visit www.treysongz.com/tour-dates.

As if all that weren’t enough, Songz is currently serving as the official face of Rocawear’s new “NEXT” campaign. Set to run throughout the holiday season, the promotion — also featuring ROC Nation recording artist Melanie Fiona — can be seen in multi-page spreads in recent issues of Vibe, Juicy, and XXL. What’s more, Trey will be prominently featured in an upcoming advertising campaign from Kodak, set to begin in early October.

“PASSION, PAIN & PLEASURE” follows Songz’ breakthrough third album, 2009’s RIAA gold-certified “READY,” which has sold over 800,000 copies to date. Fueled by an infinite streak of hit singles — including “I Need A Girl,” “LOL :-) (Feat. Gucci Mane and Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em),” “Successful (Drake & Trey Songz),” “I Invented Sex,” “Neighbors Know My Name,” and the RIAA platinum-certified “Say Aah” — “READY” made a stunning Top 10 debut on the Billboard 200 and later received a Grammy Award nomination for “Best Contemporary R&B Album.” This marks Songz’ 2nd Grammy nomination to date, the first being in 2008 in the “Best Single” category for his hit, “Can’t Help But Wait.”

An assortment of major awards followed, including the prestigious title of “Best Male R&B Artist” at the 2010 BET Awards. That triumph capped an extraordinary year that included touring as a special guest on Jay-Z’s massive “BP3 Tour 2010,” numerous TV appearances, and star-studded recording sessions like Lionel Richie and Quincy Jones’ new version of “We Are The World,” benefiting Haitian earthquake relief organizations. All that and more was documented in Trey’s hugely popular docu-series, My Moment. An unqualified ratings sensation, the 10-part BET documentary provided an exclusive window into Songz’ life and career, chronicling everything up to and including the making of the new album.

Trey has also established himself as a major presence online, with an array of thriving digital properties and an ever-growing social networking following. Current stats include 3 million friends at www.Facebook.com/TreySongz, 1 million friends and followers at www.myspace.com/TreySongz and http://twitter.com/treysongz, as well as more than 2 million channel views at www.youtube.com/treysongzvideos.

What’s more, Songz had what he describes as a life-changing experience last March when he had a personal meeting with President Barack Obama. Trey announced his excitement to his fans via Twitter by saying, “Had the honor of meeting Barack Obama today — Surreal — GOD bless The President and his family…He told me ‘Congratulations on all your success, I’m proud of you.'”
