Meet-N-Greet: Paris

Born in Inglewood, California, to a musical family, Paris Montgomery was immediately drawn to singing and being on stage. At age 5, Paris was already performing on stage and recording with his godmother (gospel artist Mary Floyd), while sharpening his chops on stage at music festivals such as Flavors of Ethnic LA.

In March of 2007, Paris landed the title role in a stage production of The Wiz. Guided by Denise Dowse, actress Wendy Raquel Robinson, and singer/songwriter Stephan Terry, Paris gave a lauded performance, which received stellar reviews by critics abroad. After wrapping up The Wiz, Paris received a phone call from award-winning playwright Mark E. Swinton to read for a part in his upcoming production “What’s Going On” – a stage musical about the life of Marvin Gaye to which he landed one of the leading roles.

While doing volunteer work at A Place Called Home youth center in South Central, Paris met Producer/Singer/Songwriter Chris Warrior and the two immediately clicked. The duo formed the production/writing team The Eardrums. Soon Paris was co-writing and co-producing songs for Def Jam recording artist Steph Jones. Paris was then recruited by Jason Ricks of Warner Chapel to write songs for Grammy award winning artist Usher and D’Angelo. Most recently he was asked by Universal/Fontana to pen songs for Danity Kane member, D. Woods, and has already placed a song with Bad Boy Recording artist Jeremy Greene.

Lyrically sophisticated, vocally polished, and musically current, PARIS leaves no doubt that he is ready to join Pop & Hip Hop’s heavy hitters.

SONGS ABOUT A GIRL VOL. 1: CUPID’S LAST ARROW, is a highly personal album of 21 original songs, written and co-produced by PARIS, about the ups and downs of falling in young love and the anger and sorrows of falling out of love. “SONGS…” is a well-balanced and tasteful mixtape featuring a varied selection; from atmospheric pop ballads like, Just What I Needed, to up-tempo club bangers like, Number 1. ??“SONGS…” features contributions from some of the most talented, underground producers to hit the scene, including Burnt Joint Productions, Chris Warrior, and Block Kids. Sometimes sexy, other times raw and sensitive, PARIS’ songwriting skills and lyrical finesse are perfectly paired to the musical talents of his stellar producing team.
