The 56 artists span a wide range of performers – from undiscovered talent, up-and-coming new artists, and rising stars to established and legendary icons. An incredible solo artist, duo, group or band will represent each location and perform a new original song, celebrating the depth and variety of different styles and genres across America.

Last night, the qualifier round continued. “American Song Contest” follows a point system in which every state and territory votes with equal power, regardless of population. A combination of public and jury votes will decide the three additional artists who advance each week. The results will be revealed during next Monday‘s episode.

Last night 11 new contestants took the stage in the live show representing their states, while performing original songs.

Bri Steves , from Pennsylvania took the stage. Bri performed her new single “Plenty Love,” with praise from Snoop Dogg and Kelly Clarkson following her performance.

At age 10, she began studying the viola at the Delaware Symphony Orchestra. Some years later, champion lyricists like Biggie, Joey Bad Ass and J. Cole inspired her to start rapping. While attending Temple University, she began experimenting with her singing voice and eventually maturated into a double threat on the mic.

Before graduating, she signed with Atlantic and balanced her final collegiate year alongside studio time in Miami, Atlanta and Los Angeles, where she worked with several high-level producers, including Sonny Digital.

After she killed her performance last night on “American Song Contest,” Bri Steves shared with UB, what she wants to achieve next!
