Warryn Campbell Wins Grammy & Brings Kelly Price to ‘My Block’

My Block Inc. founder and multi-Grammy winning producer, Warryn Campbell, takes home a Grammy for Best Gospel Song for the record breaking single, “God In Me,” co-written and performed by Mary Mary.

According to Billboard Magazine, “God In Me” earned the highest ranking for a song, spending 52 weeks on a chart and breaking R. Kelly‘s record for “Step In the Name of Love.” Among the multitude of chart-topping accolades and award recognition he received for his work with Mary Mary, The Sound, also produced by Campbell, held the #1 position on the Billboard Gospel Album chart for more than six months and was named Top Gospel Album by Billboard Magazine.

Yesterday’s win set the stage for a bright new year for the producer, who also this January formally launched My Block Inc. with founding partners Jaha Johnson of Content Entertainment Group and DJ Reflex of Los Angeles’ KPWR-Power 106, celebrity DJ and music industry entrepreneur.

My Block is a premier recording label and entertainment enterprise headquartered in Los Angeles. With the focus to deliver groundbreaking music from established icons to emerging talent, the label recently signed award-winning singer/songwriter Kelly Price to its expanding roster. Kelly Price is currently recording her fourth album, with Campbell producing her upcoming work.

My Block’s growing artist roster includes Warryn Campbell, DJ Reflex, Mary Mary, Kelly Price, The Soul Seekers and Mars. The label has also newly signed celebrated breakout artist, JoiStaRR, who is best known for touring internationally as Kanye West’s vocalist. Along with the release of Kelly Price’s forthcoming album, My Block will release JoiStaRR’s debut full-length entitled JoiStaRRland this Spring 2010.
