UBG HONORS ’09: Vote For The Best of The Year

UrbanBridgez.com, one of the Internet’s leading urban music sites, announced the nominees Monday for its 4th Annual UBG Honors (formally T M H Honors). Voting will start today December 14th at UrbanBridgez.com and the winners will be announced on January 4th, 2010.

This year marks the fourth year UrbanBridgez.com has presented UBG Honors to their visitors. Over sixty artists received nominations. They were led by Beyonce’ & Jay-Z who both garnered five nods including both for Artist of The Year. Beyonce’ was also nominated for Favorite Up-Tempo Single of the Year for “Single Ladies (Put A Ring on It)” and Video of The Year. Drake received three nods including the obvious Best New R&B/Hip-Hop Artist. Alicia Keys a winner in the past earned two nods this year, including Favorite R&B Single of The Year for “Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart.” Trey Songz, Whitney Houston, Jenifer Hudson, Keyshia Cole & Monica, T.I., Keri Hilson, John Legend, Melanie Fion, Maxwell, Eminem and Ginuwine all recieved two nods each. Music fans who log onto UrbanBridgez.com from December 14th, 2009 to January 4th, 2010, will be able to vote in 21 categories, for their favorite R&B and Hip-Hop artists, as well as for their favorite record label, producer, best video of the year & favorite fansite/entertainment blog. Some of the other unique categories include Most Slept On CD of 2009 & Most Wanted Return in 2010.

Last year over 93,000 people voted. Site visitors may only vote once per category and only one submission per network/IP.

Nominees were chosen from artists whose singles or albums were released from November 2008 to November 2009.
