Swagga Entertainment/Atlantic recording artist Pleasure P has announced the release of his hugely anticipated debut album, “THE INTRODUCTION OF MARCUS COOPER.” The collection — which features the hit singles “Boyfriend #2” and “Did You Wrong” — arrives in stores and at all digital retailers today, June 9th.

“Boyfriend #2” was a #1 Urban radio hit earlier this spring, while also scoring significant airplay at Rhythmic outlets nationwide. The single comes in this week at #7 on Billboard’s “Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay” chart. In addition, the “Boyfriend #2” companion video clip is blowing up everywhere, with major rotation at MTV, MTV Jams, MTV Hits, and VH1 Soul. “Boyfriend #2” also reached the #2 spot on BET’s “106 & Park,” where Pleasure is slated to perform live today, Tuesday, June 9th (check local listings).

The success of “Boyfriend #2” follows Pleasure P’s smash debut single, “Did You Wrong,” which lit up the Rhythmic charts last fall. The track’s accompanying video — which can be viewed at Pleasure P’s official website, — proved a blockbuster introduction for the Miami-based singer, reaching the top 5 on BET’s “106 & Park” countdown.

“Under,” the next single from “THE INTRODUCTION OF MARCUS COOPER,” is set to impact this week at Urban radio outlets coast to coast. A companion video — directed by Erik White (Diddy, T.I., Chris Brown) — is currently in post-production and will have its world premiere on Pleasure’s popular MySpace page — located at — later this month.

Pleasure P — who first attracted international attention as a member of Bluestar/Atlantic recording group Pretty Ricky — heralded the release of “THE INTRODUCTION OF MARCUS COOPER” with a rapturously received live appearance at this weekend’s Hot 97 Summer Jam 2009 at New Jersey’s Giants Stadium. “The New Bad-Boy of R&B” has also been featured in a wide array of publications including XXL, Sister 2 Sister, Black Men, Vibe and Hip Hop Weekly.

Pleasure P speaks to Aries from on his debut solo release, Pretty Ricky, Swagger Entertainment and more!

———————- How does it feel to be finally premiering your video?
Pleasure P: I don’t know, it’s strange (laughs). I’m just really excited and even more excited to hit the road. Tell me about your up-coming album release.
Pleasure P: The album is great, right now I’m in the process of picking the 12 songs to go on it. It’s hard to choose between the ones I want on the actual album compared to all of them I recorded for the album. I’m trying to pick the ones that will be just as easy to do live than in the studio. Some songs are easy to record in the studio, but hard on stage with the dancing and added layers of my voice. It’s just gonna be crazy! The Introduction of Marcus Cooper, tells the listener who I am, you get to know me personally. That was important to me to get that across with my first solo release. What can fans of your expect from it that they didn’t get when you were in Pretty Ricky?
Pleasure P: Expect to hear me really sing and to hear me and just me on the tracks. It’s all me and there are some really hot hooks. I think you can really hear my vocal maturity with this record. What’s your relationship like with the guys of Pretty Ricky now?
Pleasure P: I honestly haven’t talked to them in awhile. But I love them and I wish them the best! What’s going on with Swagger Entertainment?
Pleasure P: We’re about to do it really big!! Me and Bryant McKinnie of the Minnesota Vikings started it. We have some acts on deck and we just about to kill em! What’s are you playing currently in your iPod?
Pleasure P: T.I., Lil Wayne, B.O.B,. Lupe they have the best music out right now! Any touring dates coming up for you?
Pleasure P: If my fans go to my MySpace page it will always be updated with any dates I have at the moment. I keep it updated when I have them scheduled. What else are you working on outside of music?
Pleasure P: I’m doing a Clothing Line called Gitz-A-Go and kids line called Gitz. I’m just working man, doing whatever I can get into. I plan to go and do some movies. Just basically living my life. What’s next for you?
Pleasure P: I have a women’s Jeans line called “Jean Addicts,” that’s doing really well. I’m developing them and doing another clothing line at the moment. It’s for Jeans as well. With those just expect a lot of different colors and they will be out the Spring of 1009. Any last words for your fans?
Pleasure P: I wanna tell them that I love them and thanks for believing in me. I would be nothing without them. Thanks for standing in my corner through everything and I can’t wait for them to hear the album!
