Kobi Libii’s feature directorial debut, “The American Society of Magical Negroes” is a fresh, satirical comedy about a young man.
Justice Smith portrays Aren, a young man who is recruited into a “secret society of magical Black people who dedicate their lives to a cause of utmost importance: making white people’s lives easier.”
Also starring, David Alan Grier, An-Li Bogan, Drew Tarver, Michaela Watkins, Aisha Hinds, and Tim Baltz, with Rupert Friend and Nicole Byer.
The film is produced by Julia Lebedev p.g.a., Eddie Vaisman p.g.a., Angel Lopez p.g.a., and Kobi Libii, with Mike Upton, Oren Moverman, and Leonid Lebedev executive producing.
